Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe has always had delightful people, stunning countryside and plentiful game. Sadly the politics over the last few years has had a devastating effect on the infrastructure and development of this beautiful country.

Due to the lack of investment in game protection, poaching has devastated the population of many species in some areas. However some game parks, notably Hwange and Mana Pools, still thrive with a small selection of good quality camps and lodges run by operators such as Wilderness Safaris who help to conserve the game and offer visitors a wonderful, authentic safari, without many other tourists.

Alongside the well established properties like Big Cave Camp in the Matoba Hills, we are beginning to see new investment in tourism with the establishment of exciting lodges, like Singita Pumushana in the Malilangwe Wildlife Reserve in south-eastern Zimbabwe.
